Es stammt von Farms im Süden Brasiliens (Rio Grande do Sul) und durchläuft einen innovativen Gerbungsprozess ohne Chrome, Schwermetalle oder gefährliche Säuren. Dieser umweltfreundliche Prozess senkt den Chemikalien- und Energieverbrauch, reduziert den Wasserverbrauch um ca. 40% und den Salzverbrauch um 80%. Nach der Gerbung ist das Wasser recyclierbar.
