Nubukleder wird aus Narbenleder hergestellt. Das Oberhautteil der Haut, mit den dicksten Fasern, macht es weich, widerstandsfähig und von hoher Qualität. Dieser Teil wird geschliffen oder geschabt, um ein weiches und samtiges Erscheinungsbild zu erzielen. Nubukleder wird während des gesamten Prozesses zurückverfolgt und mit wasserabweisenden Ölen beschichtet, um die Sneaker vor leichtem Regen zu schützen. Die Gerbereien, die mit VEJA arbeiten, sind von der Leather Working Group zertifiziert.
